The Imam hiring committee (IHC) is assigned the task of searching for and selecting an imam for our community. It shall do it following guidelines listed herein within a reasonable time frame. Proper and standard hiring procedures shall also be upheld and consulted when needed.
The IHC shall:
1) Make all necessary steps so that its work is completed within three months of its first meeting.
2) Report directly to the Board of Masjid Us Sunnah
3) Carry out tasks and obtain and exchange information about the candidates and all decisions about them in complete confidentiality.
4) Receive financial support from Masjid Us Sunnah to cover all related expenses and shall work within the limits of the budget specified for that. If needed, IHC may request increase of budget from the Masjid Us Sunnah Board. Compensation and benefit package for the selected candidate shall be determined and guaranteed by the Masjid Us sunnah Board.
5) Draw a list of qualifications for the imam’s position as well as the terms of agreement for it, including a set of key performance factors (KPF) for evaluation and development within the duration of the agreement.
6) Produce, and submit to the Masjid Us Sunnah Board, a scheduled plan of its objectives and tasks.
7) Maintain timely and effective communication, through its president, with the Masjid Us Sunnah Board.
8) Recognize that the final choice of a selected imam will be that of the Masjid Us sunnah Board since the responsibilities associated with such decision lie with it.
