The responsibilities of this committee are as follows:
A) Before hiring
1. Adhere to strict confidentiality at all steps of the process
2. Define community needs. Ask people for input
3. Conduct a feasibility study to determine if the community can afford an imam
4. List desired qualifications of Imam. Ask people for input
5. List Imam’s duties. Ask people for input
6. Develop interview questions. Ask qualified people
7. Develop evaluation criteria
8. Solicit candidates
9. Screen candidates
10. Interview candidates
11. Document candidates ' questions and requirements
12. Check references and background of finalist(s)
13. Make recommendations of finalist(s) to the Board
B) After hiring
1. Work with an account to set-up a payroll and tax-withholding system
2. Work with an account to complete Federal and State tax forms
